Introduction of botox injection sites and units
Botulinum toxin is the most widely used cosmetic item. It is best suited for people with wrinkles caused by habitual muscle contraction. It has a wide range of applications: functional wrinkles on the forehead, corners of the eyes, around the mouth, neck, facial asymmetry, and muscle contractures, as well as strabismus, cervical muscle dysfunction, and bruxism. Different sites are treated with different units and layers.
Botox injection sites and units: Frown lines
5-point injection technique for glabella lines:
Injection point: 1cm above the edge of the frame, the lateral point cannot exceed the midline of the pupil.
Needle: 30G needle, insert the needle at 45 degrees and place the index finger of the auxiliary hand on the surface of the middle eyebrow to prevent the needle from penetrating the orbital septum too deeply and causing ptosis.
Dosage: 4-5 units injected at each point
Botox injection sites and units: Eyebrow lift
Injection points: 3 points on each side, all located on the upper and outer side of the orbicularis muscle, about 1cm from the edge of the orbital bone.
This direction is often unpredictable. For safety reasons, a conservative dose is generally used for the first time and the dose is increased according to the situation after 2 weeks.
Botox injection sites and units: Wrinkles around the eyes
Five injection points on each side are used to treat wrinkles around the eyes.
Injection points: 1cm lateral to the bony orbital rim, 2 points lateral to the lateral canthus, 3 points in an arc below the orbital rim, and no more than the midline of the pupil on the medial side.
When injecting, point the needle upward (superficial layer) and inject it into the deep player of the dermis. The dose is 12U.
Botox injection sites and units: Forehead lines
It is recommended to use 6-8 point injection method to treat horizontal forehead wrinkles. When treating lower forehead wrinkles, the dose should be conservative, and the injection point should be more than 1.5cm above the eyebrow; when treating upper forehead wrinkles, the injection dose at the inner injection point should be relatively sufficient. The total amount is about 10-15U.
Botox injection sites and units: Wrinkles around the nose
1 point on each side to treat wrinkles around the nose.
This point is located on the upper part of the nasal bone, near the nasal facial angle.
Total amount 2-4U.
Botox injection sites and units: Gummy smile
Injection points: 2 points on each side, one point is located at the nasal-facial junction, and the other point is located at the midline of the pupil, 2cm below the orbital rim (2U on each side).
In some cases, the depressor septum muscle needs to be weakened. The injection point is located 2-3mm below the nostril and 2-3mm lateral to the midline. Each point is 1.5U.
Botox injection sites and units: Wrinkles at the corners of the mouth
The best treatment for wrinkles at the corners of the mouth is to inject dermal fillers, botulinum toxin can only treat deeper wrinkles at the corners of the mouth. Inject 0.25U into the deep muscle of each obvious wrinkle.
Botox injection sites and units: Drooping lines at the corners of the mouth
Oral folds (marionette lines, longitudinal folds at the corners of the mouth and lower lip) are treated with a one-point injection technique on each side.
Injection point: About 1cm above the edge of the mandible. If the line is deep, it can be 1cm away from the midline, and a little injection can be added to the upper part of the mental process of the mandible.

For neck platysma strip treatment, select three points in the middle of the strip, with an interval of about 1.5cm between the two points. Note that during treatment, no more than 2 strips can pass on each side.
