Face slimming Botox: How long does it take to see results?

Understanding face slimming botox

What is botox?

Botox is a neurotoxin protein produced by Clostridium botulinum during its reproduction. It was originally used to treat facial muscle spasms and other muscle movement disorders. It was used to paralyze muscle nerves to stop muscle spasms.

It was later used in the aesthetic field. Botulinum toxin can block the nerve impulses between nerves and muscles and relax the overly contracted small muscles, thereby achieving the wrinkle removal effect of Botox.

It can temporarily paralyze muscles, causing the muscles to atrophy due to loss of function, to achieve the purpose of sculpting lines, which is commonly known as wrinkle removal and face slimming, slimming legs, slimming shoulders, etc.

Face slimming botox introduction

For people with wide and asymmetrical faces due to masseter muscle hypertrophy, face slimming injections are a quick and effective method.

The masseter muscle is usually part of the masticatory muscle group. It is located under the cheekbone. It looks like a garlic clove when viewed from the side. When you are chewing something, press your hand on your cheek and you will feel a tight and hard muscle.

The masseter muscles on the face become developed due to long-term chewing. Some people’s masseter muscles are more obvious, making their faces appear square and big. Some people chewing on one side for a long time can also cause facial asymmetry.

How does face slimming botox work?

The face slimming botox is injected into the masseter muscle. The principle is to use botulinum toxin to block the nerve impulses between nerves and muscles after being injected into the muscle layer, allowing the over-contracted facial masseter muscles to relax and paralyze over-developed muscles to achieve the effect of slimming the face.

Through the effect of Botulinum toxin, the muscle fibers of the masseter muscle become thinner and the muscles become “lazy”, allowing the masseter muscle to relax and no longer be tight.

The same principle applies to thinning shoulders and thinning calves. For example, well-developed muscles are like a clenched fist. The muscles are in a tight state due to long-term exercise. After botox injection, the muscles begin to slowly relax and no longer shrink into a ball, overall, the face is smaller than before, achieving a face-slimming effect.

Generally speaking, face-slimming injections are suitable for people with good facial structure and masseter muscles, but not much flesh. After the injection, the mandibular line and chin shape will be much clearer, adding a sense of refinement.

How long does it take to see results from face slimming botox?

Botulinum toxin injection does not act as a filler, so it will not be effective immediately. The absorption of the botox requires a process.
Face slimming botox will start to take effect in about 2 weeks after injection, and the muscle tissue will slowly begin to slow down its movement. Generally, the effect will be most obvious in 1-2 months.
For customers who are injected for the first time, the body will absorb faster and need to inject a larger dose of the botox. It is generally recommended to supplement the injection after 4-6 months. This can double the effect.
